ProDoc’s Probate volume of more than 490 automated forms makes
handling Probate cases easier, faster and more profitable for your
practice.
From the application for probate through distribution of assets and
closure of the estate, our probate volume contains virtually every
form you’ll need every day. It includes notices, accountings,
more than 30 petitions and orders, bonds, compensation forms, letters,
and client intake forms as well as the Judicial Council forms and local
county forms. Finally, the Probate volume also includes the Probate PowerPack.
Our Probate volume is fully integrated with ProDoc, so whether you’re
doing a simple proceeding or a full Special Administration that converts
into a regular Administration with an Inventory, Accounting, and Final
Petition for distribution, you enter information once and ProDoc automatically
stores and uses that information in all of the documents where it’s
needed—and it’s all just a few mouse clicks away. You’ll
draft complete, accurate documents in a fraction of the time it takes
you now. Here’s what you’ll find in our Probate volume:

Inventory
We created an entirely new and better way to generate DE-160 and DE-161
as well as expediting data entry for the Accounting. Using the
Probate PowerPack you
can quickly enter all of the property of the Decedent in an easy to
use spreadsheet format where you describe each piece of property. The
PowerPack then automatically generates the Inventory and Appraisal,
saving you tremendous amounts of time and greatly reducing the likelihood
of errors. Return to Top
The Accounting
After you enter the description or value of an asset in the Probate
PowerPack, you never have to enter it again. ProDoc saves all of the information entered in the Inventory and
Appraisal so each asset flows seamlessly into the Accounting. You only
need to identify which assets are no longer on hand because they have
been sold or already distributed or perhaps add a new piece of property
found after the Inventory and Appraisal was entered with the Court,
and your Accounting is ready for printing. Return to Top
Distribution
We automated all of the distribution forms including various petitions
and orders that you can quickly assemble to file with the Court. And,
we also automated the Receipt from beneficiaries who have received
their share of the estate. Return to Top
Personalty and Real Property
We unleashed the power of ProDoc on all personalty and real property
forms including personal representative deeds and general property
forms. We provide petitions and orders to privately sell real property,
enter into a lease agreement regarding the decedent’s property,
invest part of the estate, purchase an annuity, continue operating
the decedent’s business, or exercise an option right. The logic
we build into our automated forms enables you to generate amazingly
detailed documents covering virtually any contingency you can imagine—all
finished in minutes. Return to Top
Allowances and Exempt Property
You’ll find in this volume all those forms you can’t
find anywhere else—and they’re all automated. We include
everything you need to provide for the spouse and minor children including
petitions and orders to establish and modify a family allowance, to
set aside exempt personal property or a homestead and to provide for
temporary possession of the family dwelling. Return to Top
Special and Ancillary Administration
And, we include the documents you need for a less common type of
estate proceeding such as a special or ancillary administration. In
addition to any needed Judicial Council forms (included in the volume)
we also offer Accountings and Petitions and Orders for Final Distribution
just for these types of matters. Return to Top
Heirship and Small Estates
Finally, for those estates where you are avoiding regular probate
such as for small estates and heirship proceedings, ProDoc provides
the Petitions and Orders you need to swiftly handle these matters. Return to Top
Compensation
All of the compensation forms you will need to get the Court’s
approval for your fees are included and fully automated. Whether you
are seeking interim payment while the probate continues or final payment
at the end of the case, ProDoc offers a Petition and Order tailor-made
to be filed with the Court so that you can quickly receive the Court’s
consent. Similar Petitions and Orders are provided for compensation
for the Personal Representative of the estate. We also provide Petitions
and Orders to request relief from specific will provisions that addressed
compensation. Return to Top
Miscellaneous
You’ll also find in here all of the bonds, notices, disclaimers,
and letters you need to open and close the estate. Return to Top
Judicial Council Forms
We also automated the more than 60 Judicial Council forms that you
need for a probate matter and they are completely integrated with all
of the other forms. As an example of the logic we build into these
forms, when you describe your estate as testate you’re never
asked questions appropriate to an intestate estate for the entire life
of your case. With ProDoc you’ll never again need an Additional
Page (MC-020) or Attachment Page (MC-025) to add more information.
Instead, ProDoc automatically prepares an Additional Page or Attachment
Page for overflow information while you prepare your main Judicial
Council form. No more jumping back and forth between documents or between
an assembly program and a word processor.

Local Forms
We also included all of the probate related forms for the counties
of: Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San
Diego, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Barbara, Sonoma,
and Ventura. We include them in our Probate volume at no additional
cost.
