Legal Humor

Lawyer Amy Jackson of the Legal Aid Society of Salt Lake City, Utah, was discussing a family law case with her paralegal one day in 1993. The client had filled out an application with the legal aid society that stated she wanted "soul" custody.

Seeing the error, the paralegal remarked, "I'm not sure we can get jurisdiction."

Coming Updates

Regular Update Shipments

December
We'll release our 2007 legislative update in December. You'll receive updates for all ProDoc forms that have been updated due to 2007 legislative changes.

January
In January, or early February, you'll receive a second update from us containing the January 1, 2008 updated Judicial Council forms. By spring we expect to receive approval for the Judicial Council to provide us the form changes prior to the effective date. This will enable us to provide you the changed forms prior to the forms' effective date.

2008 Planned Enhancements

New Volumes
In the first half of 2008 we intend to release five new volumes comprised of the Judicial Council Forms for these areas of law: Criminal, Conservatorships and Guardianships, Litigation, Juvenile, and Landlord/Tenant.

We also expect to introduce a major update to the Family Law volume by adding another 114 Judicial Council Forms. The new forms will cover areas such as adoption, name change, emancipation of minor, and the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act.

Effective with this update, we will include every Judicial Council Form in ProDoc.

Thanks for being a ProDoc subscriber!

ProDoc Customer Support: Adding Custom Headers and Footers to ProDoc-Generated Documents

It is quite easy to create custom headers and footers that are automatically inserted into your ProDoc-generated documents. You can even specify whether this is done in all documents you generate in ProDoc, only in documents you draft from specific ProDoc volumes, or only in specific documents.
